Building Blocks: Social & Emotional Awareness
Children in the 3rd and 4th grade are becoming more self conscious and aware of others. They are aware of their performance and personal recognition associated with academics and sports. It is this age range where children begin to make social connections and develop close friends. With these changes comes development of feelings, intimacy, and the ability to resolve conflict with others.
The Growing Into Life: One Degree at a Time curriculum for 3rd and 4th graders takes children on a journey of self-discovery and development in many areas of social and emotional learning.
